I've just published my new book 'rot' and waiting anxiously for the book review to happen. To be honest I love the whole process of creating a book and self publishing.
I'm by no means a successful writer, far from it. But that never seems to stop me; I just enjoy making stories and publishing them. So here I am again, I've spent a year, on and off, writing 'rot', making the cover art, publishing and promoting; it's busy work!
To self publish something on Amazon is not too difficult these days. 10 years ago when this was all very new it wan a crazy, massive ball ache 😂 But now I pleased to say, it's much improved. just remember to set your work up with 'Page Breaks', as this tells Kindle a chapter has ended. I've spent many wasted hours not knowing this and wondering why the preview of my book looks so wrong. Some aspects are still confusing for me, like setting up an interactive content. This works if you set all you chapters as 'Headings'. It knowing little things like this that make it quicker..
Then it's self premonition. Something I'm getting better at, I think. Maybe my audience can give me some pointers on this. But generally this is where you go on every social media outlet you're a member of and try to encourage people to check you out without overwhelming them and pissing them off haha
