It's finally here, the short story I meant to finish last year in time for Halloween 2022! I have been working on this book and doing other secretive projects for a while now and have been desperate to going into more details. So here we are...
I wanted yo write a book about vulnerability and depression. The main character is someone who is downtrodden and is struggling to survive in the Uk with energy and food prices being so high. I neede my character to be grounded and give the impression she is like any one of us would be like in a similar situation. Then, I wanted to introduce a violent supernatural element. I pictured a demestic abuser, someone who's cruel and calculating, yet invisible. From there the story into places I thought were claustrophobic, and horrendous. Perfect for horror!
